Title IX & Non-Discrimination Statement

AXL Academy is committed to providing a safe, equitable and inclusive learning environment where all members of our school community — students, staff, families, and visitors — are treated with dignity and respect. We prohibit discrimination on the basis of sex in any of our education programs or activities that receive federal financial assistance, in accordance with Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972.

Title IX Coordinator

If you believe you have experienced or witnessed discrimination or sexual harassment (or have questions about your rights under Title IX), you may contact:
Jack Bissonnette, Title IX Coordinator
Email: jack.bissonnette@axlacademy.org
He can provide you information on how to report, your rights, and the supports available.

How to Report

You may report a concern to the Title IX Coordinator at any time. Reports may also be made anonymously in certain contexts (depending on state law and district policy). Once a report is received, we will promptly review and respond in accordance with our grievance and investigation procedures to ensure appropriate supports and measures are put in place.

Training and Materials

In compliance with federal regulations, all training materials used for Title IX personnel (coordinators, investigators, decision-makers, etc.) are publicly posted and available for review.
We host a live link to the training materials below:

Additional Rights & Supports

  • Everyone has the right to participate in school programs free from discrimination on the basis of sex, which includes sexual harassment, sexual violence, gender-based harassment, and retaliation for reporting.

  • When a report is made, we will evaluate and, where necessary, offer supportive measures (such as counseling, academic accommodations, no-contact directives) while ensuring fairness for all parties.

  • You are not required to file a formal complaint in order to request supportive measures.

  • If a formal investigation is needed, we will follow our written grievance processes in accordance with the federal regulations and district policy.

  • Retaliation against anyone for reporting or participating in a Title IX process is strictly prohibited.

Annual Notification

AXL Academy will provide this information (coordinator, how to report, link to training materials) each year. We will also provide training to our staff, students and families in accordance with applicable state and federal requirements.
