Our Lottery

Fair. Simple. Transparent.

At AXL Academy, we welcome students from across our community through a public enrollment lottery held each February. Our lottery process is designed to ensure every family has a fair opportunity to join the AXL Crew.

If you apply after the lottery has taken place, don't worry! Applications are still accepted and students are added to the appropriate class roster or waitlist as openings become available.

How the Lottery Works

1. Submit Your Enrollment Application
2. Public Lottery
3. Notification
4. Welcome to AXL!

Complete and submit your enrollment application before the published lottery deadline to be included in the annual lottery.

Each February, a public random lottery is held for grades where the number of applications exceeds available seats.

Families are notified after the lottery whether their child has received a seat or has been placed on the waitlist.

Accepted families will receive enrollment information and next steps to prepare for the upcoming school year.

Waitlist Information

If more students apply than there are available seats, applicants who are not selected during the lottery will be placed on a waitlist.

Applications received after the lottery are added to the waitlist in the order they are received. As seats become available, families are contacted according to the established priority order.

Enrollment Priorities

State law and AXL Academy policy provide enrollment priority in the following order.

Students who live outside the district are welcome to apply and may be admitted as space is available.
