NEW FAMILIES

Our mission is to deliver academic achievement, character development and social equity through an active instructional model and a strong school culture.

You've made the decision. You have enrolled. You may be wondering and what is next? We have created this guide to help our new families navigate the frequently asked questions and aid you in preparation for the exciting school year ahead. Our goal is no surprises.

Orientation Day

First day of school excitement or nerves? We host an orientation day before school starts every year. This drop-in event is when you can drop off school supplies, meet your teacher(s), get your schedule, register for school lunches, purchase dress code shirts, practice drop-off and pick-up and more! There are giveaways and opportunities to meet other classmates. Our goal is for a smooth first day for your scholar. If you have questions at any time, please let us know.

Calendar & Events

Our calendar is available at all times so your family can plan appointments, travel and more.

We host many school events throughout the year for our families and scholars. These include Fall Festival, Back to School Night, Expedition Nights, Multicultural Night, the Talent Show, High School Fairs, Fundraisers, Board meetings, Info nights, Graduation & more! For our events, scholars should not be left unattended nor should be left after school. We want to share the experiences with you as a family.

Communication

Our primary method of communication as a school and from classroom teachers is Class Dojo. You'll receive an invite at the start of school to "join a class."

We post weekly updates to Class Dojo and our website every Monday.

We send home homework folders every Thursday.

We will use phone calls, emails, and texts for important reminders, immediate news (snow day!) and an additional method to ensure you have the information.
