T3 Clubs

Thank you for your interest in the 3rd Trimester After-School clubs! The clubs span 8 weeks unless noted otherwise and begin on March 2 through May 1 with no clubs during Spring Break (March 16-20). Please return below club form to the front office. Clubs will be on a first-come, first-serve basis. Fees vary for each club and the clubs are payable directly to the Crew Leader unless otherwise noted. Please note the end times for the clubs; we have a three strike and you’re out policy to respect the crew leader’s time. Snacks will not be provided; please pack an extra snack for your scholar on club days. Please return the forms by Friday, February 28. Elementary Dance Team (Grades 1st - 4th) Thursdays from 3:15pm - 4:00pm in the Shire. Fee: $35. Maximum number of scholars: 16. The Dance Team will be exploring movement, dance, and musicality through exploration of the fundamentals of Ballet, Jazz, and Tap. T3 Dance Team will continue that learning the fundamentals of these three genres as well as learning a routine to perform at AXL's talent show! Dance team members should come in clothes that they can move freely in, no special uniform is required. Dancers need to come prepared to move and groove and have fun! Club is led by Ms. Mills. Change Makers (Grades 3rd-8th) Tuesdays from 3:30pm - 4:30pm in room 201. Fee: Free. For the last two years, Change Makers has been a 5th and 6th grade elective focused on community action projects that benefit those in need. Now, Change Makers is an after school club for 3rd through 8th grade. Are you passionate about justice, the environment, helping others and just generally making the world a better place? Do you want to help plan events? Help raise money for charity? Then become a Change Maker! Club is led by Ms. Cheetah. Garden Club (Grades 2nd-4th) Thursdays from 3:30pm - 4:30pm in Mrs. Danforth’s room. Fee: Fee: $5, tool/supplies donation, or volunteer labor. Maximum number of scholars: 10Your child will learn basic gardening skills such as identifying plants, selecting seeds, watering plants, determining sun or shade needs, container gardening, and how to grow plants for food such as lettuce, kale, tomatoes, peppers, and strawberries. The club will include indoor and outdoor activities. Suggested donations: kid size gardening gloves, organic potting soil, fabric aprons, Home Depot gift cards, Lowe’s gift cards. Club is led by Ms. Danforth and Ms. McGah.

Robotics-Basic Programing & Coding Club (Grades PK-1st) Mondays from 3:00pm - 4:00pm in Mrs. Hernandez’s room. Fee: $60. Maximum number of scholars: 10. Scholars will learn basic programming and coding. This club will reinforce problem solving skills, spatial awareness, positional words, and much more. Contact Mrs. Hernandez for more. Club is led by Ms. Hernandez. The Money Club (Grades 7th-8th) Tuesdays from 3:30pm - 6:00pm in District 12. Fee: $30. Maximum number of scholars: 14. Mo' Money, Mo' Money, Mo' Money...Join The Money Club. Before you can spend it, you need to know how it works. The Money Club teaches you that in role play, discussions, and games. We take you beyond playing Monopoly. Have fun learning how a bank works, writing checks, using a mock credit card, and more! As you get to be more and more successful with managing your money, you will earn prizes. We seek to make this a fun and interactive time, won't you join us?

Sound-Off (Grades 1-8th) Generation Schools Network is proud to partner with Sound Off, a wireless headphone company, that empowers youth through sound immersion to engage in a wellness journey, regardless of age, background or income. Put on your comfy clothes and join us during the 6 week 24/7 Kids & AXL classes every Wednesday from 1:30pm-2:45pm and Thursday 3:30pm-4:45pm starting February 19th until March 26th.
