T2 Clubs 2019

Thank you for your interest in the 2nd Trimester After-School clubs! The clubs span 8 weeks unless noted otherwise and begin on December 2 through February 7 with no clubs during Winter Break (December 23 - January 6). Please return the club form to the front office. Clubs will be on a first-come, first-serve basis. Fees vary for each club and the clubs are payable directly to the Crew Leader unless otherwise noted. Please note the end times for the clubs; we have a three strike and you’re out policy to respect the crew leader’s time. Snacks will not be provided; please pack an extra snack for your scholar on club days. Please return the forms by Friday, November 22. Additional forms available in the main office.


Elementary Dance Team (Grades 1st - 4th) Thursdays from 3:15pm - 4:00pm in Coach A’s room. Fee: $35. Maximum number of scholars: 16. The Dance Team will be exploring movement, dance, and musicality through exploration of the fundamentals of Ballet, Jazz, and Tap. T2 Dance team will be focused on learning the fundamentals of these three genres. T3 Dance Team will continue that learning as well as learning a routine to perform at AXL's talent show! Dance team members should come in clothes that they can move freely in, no special uniform is required. Dancers need to come prepared to move and groove and have fun! Club is led by Ms. Mills.

Social Club (Grades KG - 2nd) Mondays from 3:00pm - 4:00pm in Ms. Hernandez’s room. Fee: $30. Maximum number of scholars: 10. Scholars will socialize, chit chat about their day and things they enjoy doing and we will play games. Club is led by Ms. Hernandez.

Girl Scout Troop 67281 (Grades KG - 1st) 1st & 3rd Thursdays of each month September - May. Field trips 2nd weekend. Troop meets from 5:30pm - 7:00pm in room 133. Fee: $25.*Register online: https://girlscouts.secure.force.com/girl

 

Year long program, two fundraising events to support our troop: fall product sales and cookies (in February), additional parent volunteers needed, monthly field trips (typically on weekends), lots of opportunity for the girls to grow and become leaders in our community. At Girl Scouts, your girl will unleash her inner G.I.R.L. (Go-getter, Innovator, Risk-taker, Leader)™! How? Through the Girl Scout Leadership Experience—a collection of engaging, challenging, and fun activities like earning badges, going on awesome trips, selling cookies, exploring science, getting outdoors, and doing community service projects. At Girl Scouts, she’ll get to lead her own adventure (it’s her world!) and team up with other girls in an all-girl environment to choose the exciting, hands-on activities that interest her most. Along the way, she’ll gain important skills in four areas that form the foundation of the Girl Scout Leadership Experience: Science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) Outdoors Life Skills Entrepreneurship

Drama Club (Grades 3rd-8th) Thursdays from 3:30pm - 4:30pm in Ms. Evans’ room. Fee: $25. Maximum number of scholars: 30. This year's drama club will be full of fun and DRAMA! This year, we will be working on combining several short skits into one performance on February 6th. Club is led by Ms. Evans.

 

Change Makers (Grades 3rd-8th) Tuesdays from 3:30pm - 4:30pm in room 201. Fee: Free. For the last two years, Change Makers has been a 5th and 6th grade elective focused on community action projects that benefit those in need. Now, Change Makers is an after school club for 3rd through 8th grade. Are you passionate about justice, the environment, helping others and just generally making the world a better place? Do you want to help plan events? Help raise money for charity? Then become a Change Maker! Club is led by Ms. Cheetah.

Cursive Club (Grades 3rd-8th) Tuesdays from 3:30pm - 4:30pm in Ms. Bronson’s room. Fee: $30. Maximum number of scholars: 25. Come explore and refine your skills in the lost art of cursive writing. We will work on correct letter formation, writing posture, and writing stamina. This is a great opportunity to learn or improve your cursive writing. We'll also explore hand lettering methods. Club is led by Ms. Bronson.
