Trimester Three Clubs
Thank you for your interest in the 3rd Trimester After-School clubs! The clubs span 8 weeks unless noted otherwise and begin on March 12 through May 11th with no clubs during Spring Break (March 26-30). Please return club form to the front office. Additional club forms are found in the main office. Clubs will be on a first-come, first-serve basis. Fees vary for each club and the clubs are payable directly to the Crew Leader unless otherwise noted. Please note the end times for the clubs; we have a three strike and you’re out policy to respect the crew leader’s time. Snacks will not be provided; please pack an extra snack for your scholar on club days. Please return the forms by Friday, March 9. Kids 24/7 Wednesdays from 1:30pm - 3:00pm. Club began on January 17, 2018 and will be ending on April 11, 2018. Fee: Free. See separate flyer in main office for more information. Harry Potter Reading Club (Grades 4th - 8th) Tuesdays from 3:30pm - 4:45pm in Ms. Laurita’s Room. Fee: $10. Continuing with Year 2, Harry Potter Reading Club by diving into Harry Potter and The Chamber of Secrets. The club will be reading the book all year long, continuing through each Trimester. This club is led by Ms. Aycock. Dance Club (Grades 2nd - 4th) Tuesdays from 3:15pm - 4:15pm in Elementary PE room. Fee: $25. Maximum number of scholars: 30. Dance club will be an infusion of ballet and jazz. It is very upbeat way to learn the foundations of ballet technique and dance principles. This club is led by Ms. Capwell and Ms. Radke. Spanish Club (Grades KG - 3rd) Mondays from 3:15pm - 4:00pm in Ms. Duran’s classroom. Fee: Free. Maximum number of scholars: 20. Learn the foundation and fundamentals of Spanish. Native Spanish speaker is leading Spanish Club to aid in individual student development including but not limited to: Speaking, Grammar, Spelling, Months of the year, Greetings, Food, Common Questions, Ordering at a restaurant, Places, Spanish Games, Crafts and more! This club is led by Ms. Duran. Mad Science Club (Grades KG - 5th) Thursdays from 3:45pm - 4:45pm in Mr. U’s Art room. Club runs from March 15 through April 26th. Fee: $89*. Maximum number of scholars: 22. *Pay registration through the website at www.colorado.madscience.org. Developed in partnership with NASA, this engaging enrichment program is truly out of this world! Investigate asteroids, comets, meteors and other forms of space phenomena! Learn to spot the difference between the lights of airplanes and the lights of satellites. Discover how stars and planets are formed -- and explore how galaxies come together within our universe! Build your own model rocket to take home, and watch in awe as we send a rocket soaring through the sky! Try your hand at some of the technologies astronauts use while living in space, and learn about innovations in space exploration! Students will explore these concepts and more in this exciting program that will take us to infinity and beyond ... without even leaving the classroom! MobyMax Magic! (Grades KG - 4th) Tuesdays from 3:00pm - 3:45pm in Ms. Hill’s classroom. Fee: Free. Maximum number of scholars: 20. MobyMax is a magical computer program that lets you work at exactly your level in any subject! Come spend extra time on MobyMax and get ahead in your learning . . . while you're having fun!!! This club is led by Mr. Farr.
Girl Scouts (Grades 2nd - 8th) Fridays (alternating) from 3:00pm - 5:00pm in Mr. Brooks’ classroom. Fee: $25*. Maximum number of scholars: 25. *Pay registration through the website at www.girlscoutsofcolorado.org. This is a year long program and includes two fundraising events to support our troop: fall product sales and cookies (in February). Parent volunteers are needed and welcome. Joining the Girl Scouts will also include monthly field trips (typically on weekends) and lots of opportunity for the girls to grow and become leaders in our community. At Girl Scouts, your girl will unleash her inner G.I.R.L. (Go-getter, Innovator, Risk-taker, Leader)™! At Girl Scouts, she’ll get to lead her own adventure (it’s her world!) and team up with other girls in an all-girl environment to choose the exciting, hands-on activities that interest her most. Along the way, she’ll gain important skills in four areas that form the foundation of the Girl Scout Leadership Experience: • Science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) • Outdoors • Life Skills • Entrepreneurship Cooking Club (Grades 4th - 8th) Wednesdays from 1:30pm - 3:00pm in the Elementary Teachers’ Lounge. Fee: $40. Maximum number of scholars: 10. Scholars will learn to cook and bake and also prepare scrumptious foods from pizza to pancakes, cookies and quesadillas. New menu items will be introduced and student chefs will ascertain kitchen techniques and safety. Bon appetit! This club is led by Ms. Annabel. Note: Club will be moved from March 21 to March 20th from 3:15pm- 4:30pm. Homework Club (Grades KG - 8th) Thursdays from 3:30pm - 5:00pm in District 12. Fee: $20. Maximum number of scholars: 20. Scholars will complete homework or work on extra projects. This club is led by Ms. Garcia.
