SPECIAL EDUCATION

2020-21 Academic Year

AXL Academy seeks a licensed Special Education Teacher to provide instruction and support for students with Individualized Educational Plans. Responsibilities include case management, development and implementation of IEPs, leading structured meetings, collaboration with specialists and general education teachers, timely and thorough documentation, and professional communication with staff and families. This position will join a team of two other professionals serving scholars from Kindergarten through 8th grade with Individual Education Plans in a Charter School whose program is based on Expeditionary Learning practices and principles.

 

TEACHER DESIGNERS

At AXL, teachers are curriculum designers. They work in teams to create engaging learning experiences for scholars based on meaningful, hands-on projects that integrate standards across multiple subjects. They embrace planning for and teaching a diverse classroom of scholars with a wide variety of learning styles, needs and behaviors. They form meaningful relationships with scholars and families.

AXL ACADEMY OVERVIEW

AXL Academy is a public charter school in Aurora, Colorado educating scholars from Pre-K through eighth grade.
