AXL is a college-preparatory charter school in Aurora, serving students from prekindergarten through 8th grade. AXL prepares students to create their own futures with an ambitious, language-enriched education in a safe and stimulating environment. We believe that all students deserve an outstanding education including both the challenges and the supports to prepare for college.
AXL is located in central Aurora in one of the most diverse areas of the city socioeconomically, linguistically, racially, and culturally. AXL opened in August 2008 with 240 students in grades K-5. At maximum enrollment, AXL will enroll 80 students per grade level. The school delivers high academic achievement, character development, and social equity through an active pedagogy and a strong school culture. We call it a Revolution in Learning.
