As a part of our Revolution in Learning, AXL offers safe and stimulating programs before and after school for those families who need or desire them. AXL provides these programs in-house as a way to involve families and local community resources in the school. There are three terms of clubs each year, with a variety of subjects and activities for scholars at all grade levels. For more information about clubs at AXL, please contact Jessica Welch at 303.377.0758 or jessica@axlacademy.org.

The following after-school clubs are currently in session:
Spanish Club
Spanish club focuses on providing an opportunity for scholars to experience the Spanish language through discussion, music, food, and film – something different from traditional classroom learning. It is a place where scholars grades 5 – 7 can hone their Spanish skills through cultural experience. Spanish Club meets on Tuesdays from 4:15pm to 5:30pm.
Art Club
Art Club gives students an opportunity to explore a variety of creative tools and materials while building school culture. Students from grade levels 4 – 7 work together to build AXL’s creative community. Art Club meets every other Wednesday from 1:15pm to 3:15pm.
Science Club
Science Club consists of 15 AXL scholars with a desire to learn and an interest in developing their scientific reasoning skills. Science Club runs on a 4-week cycle, and meets on Thursdays from 4:15pm to 5:00pm.
Playworks Afterschool Program
Our very own Playworks Coach leads this program. Snacks are provided, and students participate in special projects, club days, group game time, and a homework block. This program meets afterschool everyday until 5:30pm.
For more information about clubs at AXL or to register your scholar for one of these clubs, please contact Rachel Schiller, Director of Communications and Development, at 303.377.0758 or rachel@axlacademy.org.
